NetFlix & Grill
Netflix and Grill is group project that was created during my DevOps traineeship. Our group consisted of 10 young professionals with their own IT specialty. In 2 months we have made a prototype app that could suggest 3 movies and recipes based on a quick survey. Julio was involved as a DevOps engineer in different specialties but focused mostly on deployment.

Netflix & Grill
The idea was a mix of a recipe app and a movie app. Both of these apps were familiar concept for the whole group , this made it easier to focus on the technical side of the project.
We came up with a persona called Wilma that had a date but had no time to plan it. This is where Netflix&Grill saves the day. With this application Wilma has to answer only 8 questions that will suggest her 3 movies and 3 recipes out of huge database.

The prototype was deployed on Azure and worked well. Aswell as the Mendix prototype.
Specialties
The projects was split in to our specialties.
We had the Big data that retrieved and send data about movies and recipes.

The Java group was focused on the algorithm to suggest 3 movies and 3 recipes.

The Front-end used Vue.js to visualize the app and call the right information when needed.
​
We also had a Low-code lone wolf that made the entire app in Mendix.
​
Lastly, the DevOps group focused on the deployment and continuous integration of all the systems.
Contribution
Julio focused primarily on DevOps. Where he helped with many tasks. As a example creating resources on Azure and deploying them. Julio also contributed with Environment Variables and containerizations of certain applications.

Julio has also contributed in Big Data by pair programming. As a example for the recipes we used a method called Scraping where we received data in html element. To filter to the right data we had to create scripts that could use tags to identify certain recipes.

Achievements
This project was a succes in creating app but most importantly developing new skills and honing ones IT specialty.

Could not have asked for a better group with skills and with a huge learning drive. All of us learned so much from each other.
